Moving Day Is Spa Day If You Hire A Move Coordinator

Moving is hard. Regardless of whether you are upsizing or down sizing, it’s stressful, a ton of work, and sure to occupy your every hour of many days before and after the big change of scenery. Think about hiring a move coordinator. It might be the best investment you’ve ever made.

Relax, we’ll handle everything.

Now, before you get overwhelmed and think to yourself, “But, on moving today, I have to be home!” think these two words – move coordinator.  Take a deep breath and realize there is an alternative to standing around all day worrying that your newly painted walls may get scratched – Wondering where  you packed the pillows and how will you locate them before bedtime? – Will you find Fido’s kibble before dinnertime? – Will this ever end!?!

Why not let someone else coordinate, manage and oversee everything…even before the big day? That’s right, there are actually people in this world that specialize in doing just that – and I’m one of them. It just kind of floats my boat. And, to be honest, I prefer my clients are nowhere to be found on moving day except the spa, the mall, or even an overnight party with their gal pals. You see, once I understand everything you want, my job is easy.

A move coordinator’s services begin way before the move. Those services include purging and removing unwanted items, staging your home for quick sale, providing moving company estimates, and much, much more.

Whether you are moving across town or across the country, imagine having your own personal expert to organize everything like arrangements for special transportation of artwork, pianos or wine collections; schedule cleaning crews, coordinating media equipment disconnection and installation along with purchasing and labeling appropriate containers in the kitchen, bathroom; even your garage, and your pictures hung exactly where you want them.  The list is endless.

Most people don’t think of a professional organizer when they think about actually physically moving. Maybe you have had an organizer come in to organize your home office, straighten out your kitchen pantry, or assist getting ready for a garage sale.

All great services, but think beyond that. Imagine all the hard work that goes into moving. The event itself ranks right up there on the stress-o-meter next to divorce, death, and finding out you have cancer. Moving is serious business and not having someone to assist is just silly.

Such a great feeling – everything is done.

Wouldn’t it be a great feeling to delegate every single detail of your upcoming move, knowing you don’t have to micro-manage?

Then, start thinking about what you want to do on move-in day, or move week. One of my clients and her family actually spent a week in Hawaii while my team and I handled everything. Upon return, their new home was all set up to her liking. Now that’s a vacation in my book!

Have you ever used an organizer or move coordinator? Would you consider it? Why or why not? Please leave a comment, I promise I will respond to every single one.
